What I do

Having managed a small business for over five years, I know just how quickly your day can fill up. Suddenly there’s an order to pack, a customer to visit, or a fire to fight. That’s where I come in!

I’m there to lend a hand tackling the jobs that can fall to the wayside when you’re busy running your business.

My specialities include;

  • Brand design, strategy and management

  • Social Media content creation

  • Graphic Design and Illustration

  • Writing blog posts and marketing emails

  • Website and e-commerce maintenance

  • Market research, customer service, and general correspondence/admin

Why I do it

I work with small, independent businesses because I like to see passionate, ethical, and creative ideas come to life - and I love to be able to play a part in helping them grow and flourish.

I studied Graphic Design at UWE Bristol and when I graduated in 2016, I - like a lot of people who studied an art degree! - worked in retail, hospitality, and customer service when I left; but all of my jobs had something in common. They were all working for small or independent businesses right here in Bristol. From a family-run cinema to an independent shoe shop, every stepping stone has allowed me to understand the mindset and the drive needed to keep a small business afloat.

I was able to put what I’d learned into practice - and all importantly, combine it with my design skills - when I joined Blind Owl Coffee; this involvement allowed me to experience every sector of running a small business, and marketing one too.

After five years of sinking my teeth into this project, I now freelance as a “Digital Busybody” because I’m able to offer a rare skillset and insight to people who run small businesses. I know that every penny matters when you’re trying to grow, and it’s why I offer competitive rates that are tailored to every project.
